As part of changes announced in the 2016/2017 Budget, the Australian Government is set to trial a 3 year multiple entry visa for visitors from India, Vietnam, Thailand and Chile.
This is a significant change to the current Visitor visa option which can be granted for much less in duration and restrict visitors to single entry only.
Importantly however, the introduction of these changes will still require applicants of these visas to demonstrate that they genuinely intend to visit Australia temporarily and satisfy all other visa criteria.
